Welcome to
The Yurt at Worcesters Farm

Our beautiful handmade yurt is set amongst an ancient orchard on an idyllic smallholding, nestled between the Kent Downs AONB and Kent's spectacular coastline.

A place to unwind

Berty the yurty (as our 2yr old son calls it), is 5 metres in diameter and comfortably sleeps 2 adults and an infant. Inside Berty you'll find a super comfy double bed, tea and coffee making facilities, a cracking little wood burning stove (with unlimited firewood), a couple of UK made beanbag chairs and a mini-fridge to keep those all important beverages ice cold. We'll make sure there are some essential food items (bread, eggs, milk, butter) waiting for you when you arrive, as well as a couple of chilled beers in the fridge.

Your outdoor space

Outside you have your own fenced off space with a gas bbq, sheltered outdoor eating area and a camp fire, as well as a composting toilet, hot shower and washing up facilities adjacent to Berty, which are exclusively for your use. An allocated parking spot, right next to Berty, makes parking a breeze. Berty is tucked away at the far end of the smallholding on the edge of a 20 acre accessible wood, with sweeping views of the neighbouring fields. The small holding is home to free range chickens, geese and pigs who all live a happy life in amongst the old orchard trees. Eggs are complimentary and we're more than happy to arrange for you to collect them yourself if you're in a 'hunter/gatherer' sort of mood!

Peace at last

Our beautiful handmade yurt is set amongst an ancient orchard on an idyllic smallholding, nestled between the Kent Downs AONB and Kent's spectacular coastline. The smallholding itself is a slice of rural Kent and, with pigs, geese and free-range chickens just a stone’s throw away, you’ll soon be making some fairly unique friends. We have such a great location, Canterbury is just a 10-minute drive away and the trendy coastal town of Whitstable can be reached within 20 minutes.

What our guests say

Jon is a perfect host, he gave us clear directions on how to get there it was a breeze. It felt like it was out of a fairytale, exceptionally clean! When we arrived he had put the fire on, left me and my wife a drink each in the fridge with some butter and milk. All the pots, pans and amenities you’d need and a nice hot shower. The grill was brilliant, we cooked our steaks on it for dinner and our scrambled eggs on it for breakfast(oh yeah, Jon gave us the eggs too!) And the bed was so comfy that we fell asleep on it within 10 minutes of arriving lol I have to say that this is the greatest stay we’ve had……probably ever.

We had an incredible stay at this yurt, tucked away next to beautiful woodland and looking onto open cornfields. Jon is a true super host, leaving personal touches and talking us through the barbecue and cosy wood burner which we loved. There are beautiful small touches such as fresh local bread and eggs, fairy lights in the trees and inside the yurt which also has a transparent roof so you can see the stars on a clear night. It is the perfect countryside escape where you can BBQ at sunset and then tuck yourself away in a very comfortable and stylish yurt.

This place was absolutely idyllic and such a short journey from London. The yurt itself was so far removed from the other buildings that you felt a sense of absolute privacy and peace.Jon had considered every possible need that we would have as guests. There was local produce in the yurt for us to enjoy and plenty of kitchen amenities to make a home cooked meal on the wood fire stove. The fire pit was also wonderful and there were plenty of scenic walks around to enjoy.

This was the perfect little getaway for me, my partner and our fluffy little companion. It was super cozy in the yurt once the log burner was on the go, easy to cook on with all cooking utensils supplied plus some basic like bread, milk and even a cold beer in the fridge. The surrounding area was great for walks before we bunkered down for the night to play games. Highly recommended.

This was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve had so far. The place was kitted out with more things than one could ask for; Fresh local eggs, butter, milk and bread.BBQ equipment, firewood, toiletries, suitable books, flashlights, tea, coffee etc. The yurt is located on a camping site next to a farm so you’re awakened by gentle chicken noises in the morning and there’s pigs nearby.

Jon was very laid back and flexible at check in, gave us a quick tour of everything and made checkout hassle free as well. We’ll definitely be back and can not recommend this more.

Such a lovely stay in Berty the Yurty! We loved sitting by the log burner whilst it rained outside. The pictures don’t do this place justice! If you want a peaceful little countryside get away it’s perfect! We will be staying again for sure.

We had a such a wonderful, if too short, stay. Peaceful, indulgent, romantic special time. We had cold prosecco, beer, milk, local butter and fresh bread as part of our welcome. We stayed during a heatwave and so could have the top of the yurt open at night which was just lovely. We don't want to leave. and we'll definitely be back.
